Save Money on Water-Saving Products

During Memorial Day weekend, Texans can buy water saving products TAX FREE!  WaterSense labeled toilets, faucets, showerheads, sprinkler controllers, mulch, trees, grasses, soaker hoses and more can be purchased tax free! Find the full list of eligible items at the Texas Comptroller’s ‘Water Efficient Products Sales Tax Holiday’ website. 

Mulch, Mowing, and May

Mulch helps flower beds and gardens by locking in soil moisture, keeping the soil cooler during the summer.  Hardwood and cedar mulches are best – don’t use rubber mulch! Learn more about mowing & other water-saving landscape tips. 

Lake Ralph Hall Project Update

In mid-February, Lake Ralph Hall's new six-foot-wide pipeline was connected to Irving’s main line, allowing water to travel the final 20 miles to UTRWD's Harpool water treatment plant for processing and distribution.
