Give A Drip This Summer

We’re in the hottest months of the year! Time to show y’all Give A Drip about water so the good times don’t dry up.

Outdoor irrigation accounts for more than half of residential water consumption in North Texas, and much of it is wasted. Save water for where it matters most—like in your lakes and from your tap! “Give a Drip” and commit to following your local utility/city’s watering schedule (no more than two days a week and never between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.). (Check out the handy chart down below).

Participants have a chance to receive free swag while supplies last and will be entered into a drawing for a smart irrigation controller or a $500 gift card to a local garden center at the end of the summer.

See below for free irrigation checkups, classes and resources to do your darndest to save (water and money)! Plus, view your local watering schedules by community.

Winter Weatherizing

Prepare your sprinklers & home for winter: Turning off sprinklers during the fall and winter months prevents unnecessary watering and reduces the risk of lawn diseases. Winterizing your irrigation system and outdoor faucets and pipes can prevent damage from freezing temperatures leading to costly repairs. Check out our Winter Weatherization page for more tips to prepare for the winter.
